Gifts, Hospitality and Sponsorship Declarations

Staff are reminded that any offers of gifts, hospitality or sponsorship to the value of £25 and over must be formally declared and recorded using the ESR system. The declaration must be made regardless of whether the offer was accepted or declined and should be completed as and when such offers occur.

In addition all staff at Agenda for Change Band 7 and above, all consultants, speciality and associate speciality doctors, and those senior members of staff on local Trust terms and conditions, must provide an annual return for declarations of interest. If this has not yet been completed, the declaration should be made using ESR as soon as possible. Declarations of interest should be discussed with line managers so actions can be agreed to mitigate any risk to the individual and the organisation. The Annual Declaration must be completed detailing any declaration or indicating notification of a nil return.
