We’ve started some work to make some of our patient appointments available on the NHS App.
At the moment this includes the majority of our outpatient appointments. In the future this will be expanded to include all appointments across primary and secondary care.
There will be no change to how we manage appointments within the Trust. There will also be no change to how we cancel and rebook appointments.
Letters that are sent digitally to patients (i.e. by text) will be available on the NHS App. Only patients who are registered with the app will be able to see them. What’s not yet included:
We are working on including appointments for Radiology, Endoscopy, Obstetrics, MSK, day case and inpatients on the arrivals / admissions (TCI) list.
We still have a lot of work to do. We want to make all of our inpatient appointments and correspondence available on the NHS App. This is just the first step.
