Changes in Mandatory Training for Learning Disabilities

The Trust has recently agreed to deliver the North East and Cumbria's Learning Disability Diamond Standard Training which is now live on ESR. Following an update in this training and some feedback from patients, relatives and the CQC, all clinical staff must complete the Mandatory diamond standard training by 31^st October 2023. Extending the training to all staff is under consideration.

The Trust Education and Training team are working through staff records and many of you who were previously green for learning disability will soon move to blue and you will need to update your training which will take about 30 minutes. We are aware this is an additional time pressure for you, but know you will recognise the need for us all to be able care for people with a learning disability appropriately.
