Due to a flood in the pharmacy department at Sunderland Royal Hospital, there will be a change to how dispensing is handled this evening.

The damage has been caused during refurbishment work.

The team will adapt how they work for the rest of today, Thursday, March 2.

The department is not able to access the Trust intranet.

If departments need routine access to medicines and discharges before 7.30pm, the team ask they bleep 52073 to discuss their request with a pharmacist.

Alternatively, stock items can be ordered by temporary stock paperwork, which can be brought down to the department.

The team asks wards and departments are proactive in arranging their supplies due to an expected delays.
