BMA strike action next week

We are continuing to plan for the BMA industrial action next week for doctors in training.  This will take place from 7am on Monday 13 March until 7am on Thursday 16 March.  Thank you to everyone who is involved in this work.  

Operational planning meetings continue to take place in the lead up to (and during) the industrial action so that we can mitigate the impact for patients who require our care and treatment over these days.  Our command-and-control arrangements will be in place with multiple ‘Silver’ meetings across the strike days (including evenings) and before and after the strike days, as necessary.   

We have attached some FAQs and are continuing to work through the operational detail and planning.  As part of our preparations, we have organised some refresher training on Meditech V6 for attend any colleagues who will be supporting the Trust during the strike period and may need to refresh their skills.  This will focus on inpatient and ED documentation and discharge elements.  There is no need to book, just turn up.  

All colleagues are also asked to make sure you can log into MEDITECH V6 without issue and check this as a matter of priority.  If you experience any issues, please call the IT Service Desk on Ext 42705 (SRH) or Ext 2877 (STDH).
