This is because we now have two permanent scanners. These are within our new Integrated Diagnostic Centre (IDC).
Alliance Medical has been working with us on plans to move their temporary unit.
This coincides with increasing capacity within the IDC.
The temporary unit is on the John Reid Road side of our site and is near the visitor entrance to new Intensive Care Unit.
The move will take place on Saturday, June 10, from 7.30am to around 1pm.
It will involve large vehicles to transport the scanner, coming onto site to help with the move.
To allow this to happen, Alliance will need us to close off a section of the one-way system to vehicles. This will take place during part of the morning.
When closed this will impact on traffic leaving our site via John Reid Road exit.
Alliance will have their own team on site to direct traffic during this time.
Colleagues are asked to avoid Outpatients' Car Park on site overnight from Friday, June 9.
Work commencing early Saturday morning may impact on those whose shift is ending.
Alliance has had an MRI Scanner operating at the rear of the site to help deal with the backlog on diagnostic testing.
This was increased with the onset of COVID.
