Occupational Health – Wellbeing Team

As part of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing service our aim is to make STSFT a healthy environment that promotes, supports and improves staff’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.

We offer the following training/educational packages:

Live well: 12 ways of wellbeing – An insight into some of the factors that can affect individual’s health and wellbeing along with an overview of coping strategies and services available to help support staff with these issues.

Be Less Carrot (emotional resilience) – This session aims to help staff members understand how stress affects them personally as well as identifying some possible coping strategies.

Team Carrot (team emotional resilience)- As with the session above we look at identifying and understanding how stress affects individuals and discuss potential coping strategies. This session also examines the concept of a psychological safety ad reviews ways of trying to create this in the workplace.

Coping through Change – we aim to help individuals understand how change can affect us in addition to identifying potential coping strategies.

As well as the packages above the team strive to promote a preventative and proactive culture for health and wellbeing within the organisation and can offer bespoke educational sessions on topics including:

· Smoking cessation

· Physical activity

· Mini wellbeing checks

· And many more…

Our service also delivers Moving and Handling training with in the trust. Statutory and mandatory training can be booked via the training section of ESR. We also offer bespoke Moving and handling update sessions tailored specifically to your ward or department’s needs and environment.
