The Recruitment team provide start to end recruitment support for the Trust, CHoICE and Haven Court – from advertising vacancies through to ensuring the new employees commence employment, whilst ensuring they have satisfactorily completed the required pre-employment checks in line with NHS Employment Check Standards.

The team also provides support with booking of non-medical agency workers, support volunteer recruitment processes and honorary contract workers.

The team at Sunderland also issue ID badges to new starters and replacement badges to current employees.

To request an agency worker or locum doctor, you must complete the Agency Worker or Locum Doctor Request form – which you can find in our documents library. 

Whenever possible, agency workers/locum doctors will booked via NHSP via HR.

Agency workers are entitled to apply for internal vacancies in line with the Agency Worker Regulations.
