What we do 

Laundry services are provided to Sunderland Royal from outside contractors Elis, (CHoICE co-ordinates this service).

CHoICE Linen Services is responsible for ordering and distribution of uniforms within the hospital, as well as maintaining the staff change area/lockers on B floor of the main hospital block. We also have a sewing room alteration service for minor alterations. 

Linen

We provide regular linen drop-offs to the wards and outpatient areas. For out of hour’s emergency requests for linen, please contact the Domestic Supervisor on ext. 42067 or 41327.

Staff Locker Requests

Please complete appropriate paperwork to request a staff locker.

Uniforms

To request a uniform; please complete the appropriate uniform request form. 

The department is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 11:00am and 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Uniforms and linen are stored in a secure locked location; you can only access the area for any uniforms or linen when the department is open.  

Out of hours emergency services are provided by the Domestic Supervisor Ext. 42067 or 41327.
 

Sewing Room Services

For minor alterations such as; shortening trouser legs and repairing hems on staff uniforms.
