The Catering Department provides staff, visitors and patients with freshly cooked nutritious food 365 days of the year. We fully comply with the Governments 'Better Hospital Food' programme (2001) which caters for all diets.

The department is self-contained and produces only fresh food. We operate four outlets, three at STDH and one at Palmer Hospital, all catering for patients, staff and visitors. 

Alexander's Restaurant: Ingham Wing serves a comprehensive range of hot and cold food, snacks, sandwiches and beverages. 
Open: 7:30am-7:00pm Monday to Friday.  

Alexander's Cafe in the Ingham Wing serves speciality coffees, sandwiches, cakes.
Open: 8:00am – 8:30pm Monday to Friday & 11:00am – 7:15pm Saturday and Sunday. 

Alexanders Café (Out-Patients) serves tea, speciality coffee, sandwiches snacks 
Open@ 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
